
Dr. Joy Goldberg
Ph.D. Neuropsychologist
Dr. Joy Goldberg is a pediatric neuropsychologist with over 20 years of experience working in both pediatric hospitals and school systems completing neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children and adolescents.
Dr. Goldberg’s responsibilities have included gaining expertise in conducting pediatric neuropsychological evaluations for children/adolescents with suspected or previously diagnosed genetic disorders, learning disorders, neurological, neurodevelopmental disorders, and mood/behavioral disorders (e.g., epilepsy, autism, cancer, ADHD, anxiety, depression, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, gifted/twice-exceptional learners, tic disorders, complications from premature birth, exposure to polysubstance in utero, and concussions/TBI.
She also has extensive experience and has published her research on the effects of Long COVID on children and adolescents. She has been an associate professor at both National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado and Phoenix Children’s Hospital and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Denver teaching graduate level neuropsychology courses. She is currently a member of numerous local and national pediatric psychology and educational organizations and has also been a previous board member of both the Colorado Neuropsychology Society and Arizona Neuropsychological Society.
Dr. Goldberg is dedicated to supporting all learners, their parents, and school personnel, by providing evidence-based recommendations for children/adolescents who may be coping with challenges related to various mental health, learning, or neurological/medical diagnoses. She is passionate about helping children/adolescents and their families understand their own strengths, as well as understand the neurological bases of their struggles in order to make learning easier for children/adolescents and improve their socialization, communication, and quality of life.
